Our editorial policy

NewsHoxs aims to publish useful, understandable coverage with a visible basis for factual claims. This policy describes how material should be prepared, labelled and corrected.

Sources and verification

For announcements, software requirements and product policies, we prefer the original publisher or manufacturer documentation. We check material claims against that documentation and name the company and announcement date when reporting an update. We distinguish an announced plan from a verified release, and a quoted specification from something measured in testing.

Article labels

Buying guides help readers compare options. Explainers describe a topic. Specification analysis is based on documented information. News analysis separates reported details from interpretation. A hands-on review requires actual use and a description of the test conditions.

Tools and authorship

AI-assisted tools may support research, drafting, editing or technical production. Their output is not evidence of a product test or first-hand reporting. Sources and material claims must still be checked. Articles may use the NewsHoxs byline or an editorial pen name disclosed on its author page. Pen names and illustrative portraits do not imply a separate person’s credentials or first-hand testing.

Corrections and updates

Send suspected errors through our contact form. Include a source where possible. A substantive correction should explain what changed in the article; an updated date alone should not disguise a material error. Minor spelling and presentation fixes may be made without a correction note.

Commercial material

Advertising should be labelled and visually distinguishable from editorial content. Sponsored material and affiliate relationships, if introduced, must be disclosed in the relevant article. Payment does not justify invented findings or undisclosed promotion.

Images

Photographs and publisher artwork are credited. An illustrative image does not imply that the pictured product was supplied to or tested by NewsHoxs. Material visual alterations must not be presented as documentary evidence.
